Eagle Bluffs race day photos from Hilary Matheson
“The sun peeked over the edge of Cypress Mountain as runners crested the Bluffs, and temperatures rose quickly (along with the bugs). I sought to capture the emotions that each racer was experiencing as they neared the top of the first big climb of the race and their tired legs screamed at them to slow down and admire the view. Their determination and drive was palpable as each runner passed me, faces furrowed in concentration and effort, well aware that the day was still just beginning.” …Hilary Matheson, photographer
Hilary started hiking at 4am to ensure she arrived at Eagle Bluffs before the first runner. Kudos! Her race day photos from Eagle Bluffs is in this photo album.
