Descent from Black Mountain race day photos by Salvador Miranda
“Everything that goes up must come down… the KKNSTR is full of awesome descents, and the higher the bump, the steeper and more fun it gets. Coming down from Black Mountain, which is by a very long shot the steepest and highest bump, you have a relatively short but very steep plunge, where your feet are dancing around rocks and gravel as you lose elevation. It’s a photographer’s paradise except for the bugs. Then there’s the long Hollyburn Chute plunge to Cleveland Dam, then the one to the Mosquito Creek, the one to Lynn Creek, the new easy trail down to the Seymour River and last, after the dreaded Seymour Grind, the long and unending descent to the finish line”. …Salvador Miranda, 3 time Knee Knacker finisher
