June 19 training run photos by Karen Chow.
Nelson Canyon Park: Early morning at Nelson Canyon Park. Possibility of photos with runners against the lush rainforest diminished with the light. Sigh. Plan B: Recede into the forest to practice panning shots (hmm…more practice required). Startled a few runners. Photos are here.
Descent from Black Mountain: To capture your training run in the snow. Y’all were fast! Photographic evidence shows, no skis were strapped to your trail shoes. Side note: I suspect Murphy was miffed at not having his picture taken from the other training runs. This time he stopped right in front of the camera and would not move until his picture was taken. His photo and your photos are here. (PS: Murphy is the dog).
Grouse Mountain: Baden Powell uphill slog east of Grouse Grind. Grouse Mountain was blanketed by cloud with limited light. Thank you runners for slowing down and even stopping. Gitta had a fright when the camera shutter went off. She thought I was a bear. Oops. This happened to a few other runners during this training run. Bear grunts will be kept to a minimum in future training runs. 🙂 Photos are here.
