Ron Nicholl (18 time Knee Knacker finisher) ran the first half of the course and unfortunately he had to stop at Cleveland Dam. 🙁 Ron continued his race day experience photographing his fellow KneeKnackerers as they ran the final 400metres to the Finish line. Ron’s race day photos from: Baden Powell by Panorama Park...
Karen Chow’s race day photos around the Mount Seymour area are here.
‘Dead battery’ was a recurring theme at this year’s race – microphone, camera and timing clock. Luckily the timing mat had power but with no functioning timing clock, the first six finishers photos didn’t show a finishing time in the image. But through the magic of Photoshop, Wolf Eilers–thank you, Wolf!–added the finishing times to these photos....
Photographers have knarly injuries too. Salvador slipped while taking a better position for fast approaching runners, scrapped his leg bloody and his camera lens hit a rock. Leg will heal. Camera lens not so lucky and now “limping”. 🙁 Salvador Miranda (Knee Knacker veteran) race day photos from 400 metres east of Panorama Park are here.
The rock slab below Eagle Bluffs is one of the steep sections to Black Mountain. Thank you for your smiles as you nimbly traverse up this pitch. Apologizes to Laura, Clive and Marc who missed their photo moment when the camera battery died. 🙁 Karen Chow’s race day photos from the rock slab are here.
