Knee Knacker – more than just a race!

To increase our com­mu­nity impact and legacy, the Knee Knacker community can support North Shore Search and Rescue by donating here, or by setting up / donating to a participant’s fundraising page!

Donations go directly to North Shore Search and Rescue, and an electronic tax receipt is issued on donation.

While we hope you’ll be as excited about this pos­si­bil­ity as we are, it’s impor­tant to note that rais­ing funds is com­pletely optional. We will not require any­thing dif­fer­ent from you if you choose not to participate.

Anyone can set up a fundraising page here: and select the “Fundraising” sub-event.

For any runner that raises $100 or more on their participant fundraising page, we will waive the 4 hour vol­un­teer require­ment!

And a little friendly competition: every $1000 raised on your fundraising page between Feb 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 will earn a ticket into a mini-draw for a guaranteed spot in 2027. Raise more and raise your chances! 

We feel so strongly that as a trail running community we can have a big impact on people’s lives – not ‘just’ hold a great event – that we decided we would put a coveted spot out there. Just think… if each runner raises $300 (an example of a dollar per mile from 10 people)… we as a community would donate $60,000! How cool would that be!?!
